Under 1000 cc Unmodified saloons. No modifications are
allowed other than those required for the safety regulations. This
ensures that the costs are kept within affordable limits while still
producing very close and competitive racing.
Class 2
Up to
1300 cc, limited modifications. Care can be either front or rear wheel drive
but must all breathe through a 32 mm inlet restrictor plate This
again ensures that the costs are kept low while still producing very close
and competitive racing. e.g. Nova, Micra & Escorts
Class 3
over
1351 cc front engined, rear wheel drive modified saloons using any two valve
per cylinder engine. This is a very popular class with the spectators with
its exciting close sideways action. In this class there is unlimited tuning
available. e.g. Toyota starlets and escorts
Class 4
Under
11301 cc modified vehicles, The only restriction in this class is that the
engine must be the original of the shell being used and must retain its
original position. In this class there is unlimited tuning available. e.g.
Mini’s and Imps.
Class 5
Any 1131 - 1420 cc engine not necessarily in the position
the original vehicle manufacturer intended or even imagined. the engine
does not have to be out of the car of manufacture., Peugeot 106, metros
and a few minis
